Search for Holdings at Multiple Library Locations

For libraries that are affiliated with larger systems or a consortium, EBSCO Discovery Service provides the ability to search multiple/shared catalogs, with detailed holdings information for all relevant locations provided.*

Users will be exposed to each branch’s individual holdings and services on the front end, but will also have access to information from catalogs within the larger group when a Union catalog is loaded.

Libraries affiliated with a group/consortium can:

• Request an item through interlibrary loan (ILL)
• Link to the catalog record
• Limit by library location/choose to search holdings
  at multiple locations
• View detailed catalog holdings information

Even in a group/consortium situation, EBSCO recognizes that each member library has its own unique content and approach to supporting the research needs of their end-users. EDS allows each member library to retain the individuality of its information and services—the data, profiles and interface-related branding will be integrated based on each library’s preference.
